I decided to make another ‘nature’ card for The Male Room challenge so used a die I got in the Sizzix sale.
It didn’t take that long to make and was more paper-piecing than stamping but I like the way it turned out.

I die-cut the pop-up cactus out of some teal cardstock and then die-cut and trimmed the cactus again from some paper I had in my stash. This was then stuck on the pop-up to give it a bit more interest. I die cut some sand-coloured card for the ‘desert’, a circle of yellow card for a ‘sun’ and then used a mini die to cut some tiny cacti for the background.

I stamped the sentiment using letters from a calligraphy stamp set as I didn’t have a big enough sentiment that matched the theme.
I then stuck the whole thing onto a card base to finish it.

Materials:-
- Sizzix Pop-up Cactus die
- X-Cut Mini Cactus die
- Creative Dies – Stitched Borders die
- Avery Elle Modern Calligraphy stamp set
- Teal card from Papermill Direct
I absolutely love this awesome masculine card!! The Saguaro die set is fabulous and looks amazing in these colors.
I love cactuses. We don’t have Saguaros in idaho, where we live, but I have visited Arizona and seen them. The cactuses that grow in Idaho are smaller varieties and don’t grow up here in the mountains where I live.
Thanks for sharing your wonderful card!!!

What a great die and you used it brilliantly with the paper piecing and the accent dies. Thanks for sharing again at The Male Room.
